The Abandoned Oil Refinery

Ryan and I decided to do some trespassing this afternoon at the old oil (or possibly water) refinery on the edge of town. This place is beyond words, some of the graffiti here is real art. I felt so small standing next to (and inside of) these giant structures. It was rather eerie actually. There was a breeze and all the buildings were moving and whining in the wind, sort of like they were talking. I loved this place, I'll definetly be going back. Camera in hand.

...I was told that place had been torn down last year. I can't believe some of that art is still up. Now I've gotta go again. Thanks for the inadvertent heads up.

This is the exact place where I ride my bike several days per week. The Ojai trail! I always thought it would make an amazing backdrop for a photoshoot! The scenery and hillsides in the area are so beautiful.
