I felt that these weird, whimsical scraps of fabric -- errr, shorts -- deserved a grassy field and an equally strange edit. So this is what our world would look like if green ceased to exist. I can dig it.

On another note, I think it is time to leave this two-toned hair of mine in the dust. I tried to like it, really, but the siren song of dark hair is calling me back. Guess I'll be hitting the dye bottle and staining our bathroom sink, floors and walls in the process so I can finally feel like myself again.

So ready for Spring fashion right now. Go to hell jackets, dreary colors and tights! All I want in my closet right now are light as air neutrals, micro-mini shorts, leather ankle booties and simplistic accessories.

Burnout

If you'd asked me five or six years ago to describe my fashion sense I probably would have said something to the affect of, "I'm a jeans and t-shirt kind of girl." While my high school self makes me shudder and eye-roll simultaneously -- seriously -- I would still have to agree. I've welcomed all sorts of oddities into my closet since then, but nothing feels more natural than a lived-in tee and perfectly fitted denim.

Red Velvet

Okay, real talk... I have not taken this coat off since it arrived at my doorstep about a week ago. I've worn it to work, to the mall, to the sketchy market across the street from my house. You get the idea. If I'm being perfectly honest here, my life is far from glamorous most days. I roll out of bed too early, I commute, I work 40 plus hours a week. Being able to drape this beauty over my shoulders while going about my day has been a treat. 

It's the little things that make life sweet. And hell, if a mega-calorie coffee drink or gorgeous coat will make you smile, I'm all for it. So props to LA-based brand C.Z. Falconer for the amazing coat and for making my week a little bit brighter!

Fringe Wings

And so the fringe obsession continues. Dresses, shoes, tops... All I need now is a pair of fringed pants. And believe you me, I've been looking. I've also managed to acquire my second pair of leopard print pants. Oh and let's not even talk about how many pairs of chunky-heeled ankle booties I own. (The shame!) As you can see, if a trend strikes my fancy I will compulsively try to acquire more of it. Until next time everyone.
